First off, when you compare this scope to other scopes in the $1000+ range, you really can't tell the difference in optic glass quality. However, when I compared the tracking to these other scopes, I was amazed! This scope tracks perfect every time. I've got well over 500 rounds down my rifle using this scope, ran a tracking test and still perfect. Comes right back to zero and dials where you want it to go!

Gun: Dick's Savage 308 24 inch heavy barrel Accutrigger/stock Bullet: 168gr Hornady Match, 200 yard zero Temp 58 degrees at 500 yards 2.5 mil elevation, 4 inch groups glass clear. turrets great and repeatable, mil cross hairs fantastic 4 inch groups. I feel this scope and the 3x15x42 front focal will both shoot good at 1000yards I will not buy any other scope. and I have never had one negative comment or reaction from anyone looking through it. Great value and quality. just bought another 10x 42 mill and the 1x4x24. I have junked my Nikon, Vortex, Bushnell for these scopes. Is it a Chromatic lens for $2,000.00, no. will this combination compete out to 1000 yards, all day long. and that is what quality and value represents.

I use my SS 12x42MQ scope on my Remington 308 rifle for long range shooting. I am constantly changing the elevation and windage to shoot at the different distances of 200, 300, 400 and 600 yards. The repeatability of the turrets is excellent and so is the optical clarity of the scope. This is an awesome scope for the price.
